Fill out your dance card
during the Sparkling Wine Reception.
At the start of the evening, guests can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine while mingling with other balls attendees. The objective, should you choose to participate - fill out your dance card with different partners!
In Scottish culture, it is common to dance with different people throughout the night, so don’t be shy! You can dance with a romantic partner, friend, collegue, or Scottish dancing pro!

2026 St Andrew’s Ball Dances
Below are the dances that will be called in order on the night of the ball. Each dance includes a difficulty rating indicated by number of stars
Dances are divided into sets. Each set contains 3~4 dances, which we will do one after the other with brief breaks in between to grab water and prepare for the next dance.
The 1, 2, and 3 star dances will be briefly demonstrated on the night for those who couldn’t attend dance practice (or just have trouble associating dances with their names!)
When all dances in a set are completed, then there will be a formal break with DJ-led dancing!
